Alga2O was founded in response to the will of M. Fatima Santos in continuing her work developed with microalgae in the University of Coimbra for over four decades.
Already retired and refusing to abandon the research, M. Fatima Santos gives life to Alga2O as a way to perpetuate her work, with the same dedication of her entire career, and put at the service of society her knowledge and deep conviction that microalgae are the raw material of the future.
